I always feel that many cats could be helped with various medical problems if only there was enough money available. In a groundbreaking surgery carried out by Noel Fitzpatrick, a Surrey-based veterinary surgeon, the custom-made implants "peg" the ankle to Oscar's foot and mimic the way in which deer antler bone grows through skin.

Of course, it's not in the USA. I don't know if we lack the money or the empathy....
