Feral cats on the farm, gossiping amongst themselves, as cats will, telling secrets and stories... entertaining themselves, perhaps with tall tales and idle gossip....
"Did you see what Tabitha did at breakfast this morning?"
"OMG, I can't believe it!"
"I know! Right?"
We can use our imagination, anyway. These kitties clearly have something to say. Perhaps they are talking about the cat hiding in the weeds, watching them from afar.
They are a part of our world but we aren't quite a part of theirs - not enough to be part of the conversation.
